For Windows 98, 2000, ME, and XP:
Java Web Start is required to launch into a VTA session. The installation of Java Web Start is a one-time process that does not need to be
repeated. For Java Web Start, you will need rights to install applications on that given computer.
For Mac OS X and Sun Java Desktop:
Java Web Start is preinstalled and automatically updated.
For Mac OS 9.x:
You will need to install Web Launcher.
When you access a VTA session for the first time, you will be asked to verify your Internet connection speed. You also have the option to
set this speed once you have begun a session. Follow the steps below.
Step 1: Once in the VTA session, click the "Session" menu.
Step 2: Scroll down and select "Connection Speed." A menu will appear to the side. There you can select your Internet connection speed.
